Wicked Island Bakery is brought to you by the husband and wife team of Ben and Heather Woodbury. Ben, our executive chef, is a graduate of the French Culinary Institute in his hometown of New York City. He has been a chef for over 20 years working for and along side of some of the best chefs the world has to offer. His dedication to rustic European breads and baked goods can be tasted in every bite. Heather, our General Manager, brings 15 years of restaurant experience to the launch of Wicked Island Bakery. This Kentucky native adds a touch of southern charm to the customer service you will experience behind the front counter. Ben and Heather believe in returning good wholesome food to the table, purchased locally from your neighborhood merchant, with ingredients you can pronounce and enjoy. When the Woodburys are not baking, they are enjoying island life with their two young daughters.
Our goal here at Wicked Island Bakery is to provide our local island customers and visitors to the island with wholesome, natural food made from scratch with only natural ingredients using time-honored techniques. All items are made in small batches from our chef’s personal recipes. When crafting new recipes, we welcome the opportunity to take advantage of all of the local bounty of our island, the Cape, and New England. We strive to use local ingredients in our seasonal menu items.
We only use the finest vanilla and natural spices and extracts to give our food the flavor it deserves.
At Wicked Island, we use only pure butter in all of our pastries, cakes, pies & cookies.
For all of the chocolate lovers out there, Wicked uses only the finest Belgian chocolate, which gives our recipes an extra punch of rich and decadent flavor.
