Stroll is coming!
Whether you’ll be shopping, singing carols, or just strolling around downtown this weekend, we know it is always better if you have something sweet to help get you in the festive mood. What better than to start your weekend merriment with a warm morning bun or a hearty and gooey ham & cheese croissant? Don’t forget to grab a cup of coffee, our house apple cider, or our hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows before you venture into town! That’s right – hot chocolate is bACK starting this weekend!
We are open for our regular hours this weekend – Friday and Saturday 5:30am-3:00pm and Sunday 7:00am-1:00pm. Due to the influx of tourists and islanders alike, we highly suggest placing a special order ahead of time if you already know what you might like. Please keep in mind that we do have minimum numbers for ordering, and all orders must be paid in advance. We will certainly be cranking out as many morning buns and other sweet treats as quickly as possible, but our scratch made product does need some extra love to transform into our famous treats, and sometimes we sell out quickly, but there is usually another tray of goodies in the oven! So don’t be dismayed if you stop in and see an empty tray in our case – just ask one of our lovely ladies and they’ll let you know when the next tray is due to come out.
For this weekend we will also have our wonderful sugar cookies made and decorated by our local Amy Hinson – beautiful and very tasty, her cookies have been a holiday staple on the island for years. Even though they are some of the most beautiful and delicate-looking cookies ever made, we highly suggest actually eating them – made with only the freshest and highest quality ingredients, these cookies are not only pretty but taste absolutely amazing. There will, of course, be a little guilt as you bite into Santa’s head, but it can’t be helped … these cookies were meant to be eaten! We are unable to accept pre-orders for these cookies at this time.
